Jasmine Ellis

Jasmine is a Trainee Solicitor currently undertaking her Medical Negligence seat under the supervision of the Step Legal’s Head of Medical Negligence, Dominic Jones. She graduated with a First Class Degree in LLB law from Nottingham Trent University and has built on her excellent academic background in a practical environment since joining Step Legal a couple of years ago.

Having recently completed her seat in Residential Conveyancing, she has developed a strong foundation in client care, case management and attention to detail, which she now brings to her work in complex medical negligence matters.

In her current role, Jasmine assists with a wide range of medical negligence cases, supporting clients who have suffered injury or loss as a result of substandard medical treatment. She is involved in all stages of the claims process, including obtaining and reviewing medical records, conducting legal research, liaising with clients and medical experts, preparing case documentation, and assisting with the progression of claims from initial enquiry through to resolution.

During her Conveyancing seat where she worked under the supervision and tutelage of Victoria, Jasmine gained valuable experience managing transactions, maintaining regular communication with clients and third parties, and working efficiently within strict deadlines. These skills have transferred seamlessly into her medical negligence work, where organisation, empathy, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Jasmine is particularly passionate about helping clients navigate what can often be a difficult and emotional period in their lives. She is committed to providing a supportive and professional service while developing her expertise in this highly specialised area of law.

Known for her approachable manner, strong work ethic, analytical skills and phenomenal communication and client care, Jasmine is dedicated to building her legal knowledge and delivering the highest standard of client care throughout the remainder of her training contract.
