Mackenzie is a dedicated Paralegal based in our Crewe office, providing crucial support to the Personal Injury team under the supervision of the Head of Personal Injury, Anna Rushton. He is a key part of the team, committed to securing the best possible outcomes for clients who have suffered injuries through no fault of their own.
Bringing a meticulous approach to every case, Mackenzie assists clients with empathy and a clear focus on the practical steps needed to progress their claims.
Background & Qualifications
Mackenzie's academic background showcases his strong capability for complex analysis and structured thinking. He holds a First-Class Honours degree in Geography from Lancaster University, a discipline that honed his skills in research, evaluating evidence, and presenting clear, logical conclusions.
Eager to build on this foundation with a dedicated legal career, Mackenzie has successfully completed Part 1 of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and is presently awaiting the results of SQE Part 2. With this key milestone nearly complete, he is on a path and aspires to qualify as a solicitor within the next two years.
Expertise & Role
Working closely with Anna Rushton and the wider PI and Clinical Negligence team, Mackenzie’s duties are central to the efficient management of a diverse caseload. His responsibilities include:
* Providing day-to-day support and clear communication to clients throughout their claim journey.
* Conducting detailed initial case reviews and preliminary legal research.
* Drafting a range of correspondence and legal documents, including witness statements and instructions to medical experts.
* Meticulously managing case files, documentation, and deadlines.
* Investigating the circumstances of accidents and gathering vital evidence to support claims.
* Assisting with the calculation of claims for compensation, including loss of earnings and other expenses.
