Residential Property Conveyancing
Conveyancing is the legal process all buyers and sellers have to go through to formally complete the property transaction they have agreed to enter, the components of which will vary depending on what they want to achieve.
Our lawyers can help with the buying, selling or remortgaging of private homes, holiday lets, buy-to-let investments, residential property portfolios and the homes of people who have gone into long-term care or have passed away. Find out what else our professional experts can help with here.

Unregistered Property
An unregistered property is owned, but hasn’t been registered with the Land Registry, meaning that the property’s details, documentation and ownership status can only be found in the Title Deeds. There are a few difficulties that may occur when you are looking to buy or sell an unregistered property, such as:
- Finding who the legal owners are without a central record of the ownership to search for in the Land Registry
- Proving who the legal owners are without a central record of the ownership to search for in the Land Registry
If you were looking to sell an unregistered property, the physical title deeds would need to be available to be passed on to the buyer’s conveyancer following the sale. With this transfer completed, the buyer would then be able to apply for the property to be registered. As the seller, you would also have to provide evidence of title to the buyer (via your conveyancer) by presenting documents proving physical ownership from the last 15 years up until the present day.
Our fantastic team of conveyancing specialists are experienced in the buying and selling of unregistered properties. Our conveyancers act as a reliable, trustworthy and productive helping hand while you go through this process.
