Route Into Law

Agnieszka began her legal career over ten years’ ago when she moved to the UK from Poland with her husband and agreed to accept a job as a secretary at another local law firm in Crewe.  Having worked in international recruitment back home, she already had a good grasp of English and knew that an office based job would help to develop her language skills even more.

However, as the holder of a Master’s Degree in Management, this was a role that she was over qualified for and from which she therefore quickly progressed – initially to that of a legal assistant and then, when she joined Step Legal in 2019, to that of a paralegal.

Her Area Of Expertise

With a strong interest in helping accident victims, it was only natural that Agnieszka’s area of specialism would be personal injury law.  Her primarily focus is in supporting people who have been involved in a road traffic collision and who have suffered minor to moderate injuries for which another road user admits responsibility.  She pursues these claims through an online portal and is usually able to achieve an out of court settlement of up to £25,000 within as little as three to six months.

Supporting The Polish Community

Being bilingual, Agnieszka also provides targeted support to Polish clients living in and around Crewe – and sometimes even further afield – who might otherwise struggle to access the services of a lawyer due to difficulties in communicating in English.  She does this free of charge and without the need to go through a referral or translation agency.

To make life for our Polish clients as easy as possible, Agnieszka deals with all initial enquiries, attends each and every meeting to act as an interpreter, undertakes the translation of key documents and reports, attends at court where required and provides a comprehensive overview of all advice given and recommendations made.

And she does this not just for Polish road traffic accident victims, but also for those who have been injured in an accident at work, including warehouse operatives, forklift truck drivers, pickers, packers and loaders, production line staff, machine operators, agricultural workers, tractor drivers and factory or shop based butchers and bakers.
